Monografija dr. sc. Zrinke Paladino predstavlja doseg umjetničke i stručne aktivnosti hrvatskog arhitekta Nikole Filipovića. Zahvaljujući umjetničkom talentu vrhunskog crtača, svrstava se u niz istaknutih predstavnika hrvatske arhitekture, te s pravom nosi naziv „Majstor arhitekture“, dok je njegovo pedagoško djelovanje utjecalo na stručno i umjetničko profiliranje generacija današnjih arhitekata.
Podatke o životu i djelovanju Nikole Filipovića saznajemo iz njegovog životopisa, no dublje ga upoznajemo kroz odnos s njegovim suputnicama i kolegama. Posebno su živopisni opisi u poglavlju Flip-priča u kojem, kroz odnose arhitekta i njegove obitelji, prijatelja i kolega, upoznajemo priču plemenitog čovjeka i velikog umjetnika koji arhitekturu poistovjećuje sa životom i život s arhitekturom.
