Postupak dislociranja koordinata realnoga u funkciji objekta reprezentacije prepoznajem, primjerice, u videoradu Dorothy Cross naslovljenom Tea Cup. Posrijedi je elektronička slika koja se reproducira na videomonitoru neznatno većem od prikazane bidermajerske šalice za čaj. Unutar šalice, na mjestu gdje očekujemo napitak konotiran nazivom rada, umontiran je kadar iz filma Roberta Flahertyja Man of Aran iz 1934. godine. Kadar je to koji prikazuje ribarsku barku u olujnim valovima oceana. Čudnovatost generirana nedvojbenom realističnošću spomenute videoslike, prisjetila me izloška koji sam vidjela na izložbi Wunderkammer, koncipiranoj u sklopu 42. venecijanskog bijenala, koji je problematizirao relaciju umjetnosti i znanosti. Bio je to maniristički muhomlat unutar kojega se nalazila rupica koja je sadržavala papirnati svitak dužine jednog metra i širine jednog milimetra, na kojem je ispisana povijest svijeta. Čudnovato, zar ne?
