ROMANESKNI SVIJET KURTA VONNEGUTA
About the book ROMANESKNI SVIJET KURTA VONNEGUTA
Djelo Romaneskni svijet Kurta Vonneguta pruža pregled cjelokupnog romanesknog opusa Kurta Vonneguta od 1950-ih do kraja 20. stoljeća. Kroz analizu njegovih romana – Player Piano (1952),The Sirens of Titan (1959), Mother Night (1961), Cat’s Cradle (1963), God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater, or Pearls Before Swine (1965), Slaughterhouse-Five, or The Children’s Crusade: A Duty-Dance with Death (1969), Breakfast of Champions, or Goodbye Blue Monday (1973), Slapstickor Lonesome No More (1976), Jailbird (1979), Deadeye Dick (1982), Galapagos (1985), Bluebird (1987), Hocus Pocus (1990) i Timequake (1997), autorica ukazuje na distinktivna poetološka i epistemološka obilježja Vonnegutovog pisma te razmatra najvažnije teme, motive, simbole i narativne strategije prisutne u njegovu romanesknom opusu. Pri analizi Vonnegutovih romana autorica polazi od koncepata koji Vonnegutove romane definiraju pojmovljem postmoderne (elementi trivijalne književnosti i znanstvene fantastike, mutacija žanrova, intertekstualnost, intermedijalnost, metafikcija i dr.) te koristi širok i raznovrstan metodološki aparat – postmoderne teorije Stevena Besta, Douglasa Kellnera, Ihab Hassana,Waltera Hölblinga, Linde Hutcheon, Barbare Puschmann-Nalenz, Josepha Tabbija i Haydena Whitea, književno-teorijske studije Roberta Altera, Sonje Bašić, Thomasa Claresona, Caseyja Fredericksa, Stipe Grgasa i Darka Suvina, književno-kritičke analize i interpretacije Davida Andrewsa, Lynn Buck, Todda Davisa, Charlesa Elkinsa, Kathryn Hume, Marca Leedsa, Johna Maya, Charlesa Shieldsa i Davida Simmonsa te filozofsko-sociološke rasprave Michela Foucaulta, Jürgena Habermasa, Jean Paul Sartrea i Terryja Eagletona.
