About the book SAN JEDNOG KELTA
"San jednog kelta" temelji se na životu Rogera Casementa (1864. - 1916.), britanskoga konzula u Belgijskome Kongu početkom 20. stoljeća. Casement je putovao niz rijeku Kongo s piscem Josephom Conradom i bio je jedan od prvih Europljana koji je osudio nepravdu kolonijalizma u toj afričkoj zemlji koju je belgijski kralj Leopold II. smatrao privatnim vlasništvom.
Casement je skrenuo pozornost svijeta i na iskorištavanje radnika koji su proizvodili gumu u Amazoniji. Najprije su mu Britanci dali titulu plemića, a zatim su ga pogubili jer je pomagao u naoružavanju irskih nacionalista.
