"“Trebalo bi zakonom zabraniti situacije u kojima je jedan dječak primoran prati donje rublje vlastite majke.” Nije teško imati razumijevanja za Grega, ali tako je kako je: njegova je majka odlučila otići na doškolovanje u trajanju od nekoliko mjeseci da si osvježi um. Što je jako lijepo za nju, i jako ružno za Grega i njegovog oca. Prljavo se rublje neće samo osvježiti. Dobro, tu je služavka Isabella, koja bi trebala biti od pomoći – trebala. A kao da to nije dovoljno grozno, Greg se uspio smrtno zavaditi s Rowleyjem, pripasti najgorem zamislivom zubaru i završiti na pidžama- -partyju iz pakla… jer, zaista, divno je biti dijete.
